Push Route
Push route
If your back end already plans the route, the driver shouldn't have to re-enter stops or rebuild it on the device. With Push route, your system sends a calculated route directly to a PTV Navigator G2 device. The driver gets a notification, accepts or declines it, and then follows exactly the path your system planned, with turn-by-turn guidance. Your system checks the driver's response via the PTV Navigator Push Service.
Available from PTV Navigator G2 version 1.7.50
The Push Service is turned off by default. Enable it on the device via the preferences file, using the Preferences Generator and Remote Configuration.
What you need
- A PTV Developer API key to calculate routes. Existing users find it at myptv.com/developer; new users can register a free developer account.
- Your PTV Navigator G2 license key and the installation ID of the target device
Try it with the Plan & Push demo
The Plan & Push demo runs the complete flow in your browser: plan a truck route on the map, push it to a device, and follow every API request in the log. It also includes the full integration reference, with a Markdown version for AI coding assistants.
